Join in a dialogue about housing and mental health
A special Lived Black Experience CommUnity Dialogue with Dr. Douglas Mungin, the leading expert on LA’s “Skid Row”.
You are invited to join us for a special Lived Black Experience CommUnity Dialogue with Dr. Douglas Mungin, the leading expert on LA’s “Skid Row”. The discussion will include the history and evolution of Skid Row (i.e., how and why was Skid Row established, the gentrification of Skid Row and what that means to those there) and what the impact or realization of such social policy has throughout our country and what does it mean to truly address the issue of housing and mental health through the lens of black and brown consciousness.
This LBE will be hosted as a hybrid event at the Murdoch Community Center. In person attendance is limited to 50 people total (1/3 of the overall building capacity) with simultaneous streaming of the event online. Follow this link to register for an in-person seat.
The program will begin at 6PM at the Murdoch Community Center and livestreamed from the LBE’s Facebook page.
